BUTTERFLIES of NORTHWOOD CEMETERY
A very successful ‘butterfly' survey took place in Northwood Cemetery on the 21st July. No less than 16 keen naturalists attended and with warm sunny conditions, were rewarded with a staggering variety of specimens. The group was well represented by members of the Butterfly Conservation Group and the walk was lead by Mr Rob Wilson.

The Friends of Northwood Cemetery intend having a Book Sale in the near future, donated books for this event can be deposited either at the 'Friends House' (near the Main Gates) on a Saturday Mornings or collection can be arranged by phoning either 292150, 247498 or 245685
The Objectives of the Friends of Northwood Cemetery are:
· The preservation and sympathetic restoration of Northwood Cemetery including its chapel and mortuary buildings, monuments and other standing structures;
· The creation and safe keeping of all records relating to Northwood Cemetery; and
· The preservation and conservation of the ecology of Northwood Cemetery including its landscape, arboreta, flora and wildlife.
