worked in Marvin's Minerva yard during the inter war years maintaining the Kings yacht Britannia, in the winter of 1925/26 Tom and Jack replaced the top-side planking as part of the recomendations from Mr William Fife to Marvin's to enhance her light weather ability's this being just one of many jobs that they were entrusted with to work on Britannia, then in the second world war they went and joined their younger brother
