The Friends of Northwood Cemetery are members of the:
.A National group of cemetery conservation and heritage workers interested in Britain's Victorian craftsmanship and splendour of lay out and design. The Federation has members from Scotland to Cornwall and the Isle of Wight
The charity was set up in 1959, and has a successful history of environmental conservation volunteering throughout the UK and around the world.

Cowes Heritage was formed by a group of volunteers in 2003 with the main aim of staging regular exhibitions, each concerning a particular aspect of the history of Cowes and surrounding area.

Local Government Authorities:
The Northwood Parish Council was formed on the 1st of May 2008. It replaces the existing Northwwood Village Management Committee which was disbanded on the 31st March 2008.
Cowes is served by 16 Town Councillors representing four wards: Cowes North ward, Cowes South ward, Cowes West and Medina ward.
Gurnard is situated on the NW coast of the Island and is the neighbouring Parish to Cowes.
