Jean was born in Rotorua New Zealand in 1906. An only child,(there appears to be no other birth records in the New Zealand data base) her parents were Henry Alexander Pearce and Edith Amelia Headon who were born and married in Hay, New South Wales Australia. Jean led a very social life in Rotorua and was frequently mentioned in the Rotorua news. She was a member of the Rotorua Bridge Club, Rotorua Womens Club and the Repertory Players a drama club associated to the British Drama League. She was often mentioned as being away on holiday with her Mother. Jeans father died and her mother remarried. After her mother died she cared for her stepfather until he died in 1964. After his death and at the age of 58 she travelled to England and married William Trevor Huia-Boughey in Ealing, London in 1964. Jean died at 31 Queens Road in 1978 and was buried 7th October 1978. Husband William worked for Customs and Excise. He was born in 1929 so was a lot younger than Jean. He died in 2016 and after a family only funeral in Wirral, his ashes were interred with Jean.
