Wildlife and Flora
Pride of place among the wildlife in Northwood Cemetery must be its population of red squirrels.
No survey has been conducted in the Cemetery by the Red Squirrel Trust but the Friends of Northwood Cemetery are now participating in the bi-annual woodland monitoring programme coordinated by the Trust.
A general survey of Northwood Cemetery was carried out, concluding in year 2000, by the Isle of Wight Gardens Trust. This included a section on the Wildlife and Wild Flora. This section of the report starts on page 13:
